Last night during a Zoom Meeting, one of the important topics that surfaced was [triggers], the trigger of staying at home during the pandemic. The individual touched on the fact that she was struggling with staying at home because that’s precisely what she did during her time of using.
Yes, unless someone is still working or needs to be out, it’s appropriate to stay home. That being said, we don’t have to lock ourselves away. Many of us are sheltering with family or roommates. For those of us who are not, there are other options available. So many talented bloggers have written about resources and available options. I see/read these postings every day.
For those in recovery, please don’t seclude yourself from the rest of the world and slip back into old habits. Particularly, for those on probation or parole. I’m not sure about the rest of the nation, but [almost] none of the probation or parole offices in The State of Colorado are currently doing drug testing, it’s just too dangerous.
Drug Testing, Face To Face Meetings, and Court Dockets are temporarily suspended. If you’re currently in the system, or as some call it [on paper], the strength of your recovery is now being tested more than ever.
You can pass the test!
