October 7, 1994, The Denver Light Rail System opened for business. Up until then, we relied on the bus for public transportation. The Reginal Transportation District [RTD] does an incredible job of providing public transportation. We are very fortunate to have that infrastructure here in The Mile High City.
There is one thing about the light rail system that always stands out for me. Sometimes when I’m riding the train, I see a system designed to move troops and law enforcement. Possibly, something similar to marshal law. I don’t know why, but there are times when it screams [curfew, lockdown, marshal law] to me. This did not start with the pandemic; I’ve been seeing this for 20 years.
Sometimes when I look at Denver, I see a city in lockdown with trains full of troops and people being held against their will. Yes, the Stapleton Tower would fit into this image nicely.
