A few weeks ago, I posted something about [almost dying]. In that piece, I wrote about how many times I’ve almost died. Well, a few days ago, I had a run-in with a Rattle Snake.
I was picking up some equipment on a job site. The day was hot and sunny, and this snake was sleeping underneath a metal sign. I placed my hand on the sign and then paused. That particular area is known for Rattle Snakes, and my gut was telling me to be cautious. I picked the sign up about ten inches, seen the snake, and then dropped it back where it was. I grabbed a long wooden stake and used it to flip the sign completely over.
The snake was extremely agitated and wanted nothing else but to bite me. As I circled and snapped and a few pictures, the snake circled with me and prepared to strike. I replaced the sign and drove away, leaving the Rattle Snake right where I found it.
I’ll be returning to that area this week to pick up all of our equipment. Well, everything except for one sign!

The snake may not be there when you return…
Glad the snake never got a bite of you ๐

I’m thinking 50/50 on the snake still being there. Thank you, Holly!
