In my endless need for education and self-improvement, I spent last Saturday and $200 attending a Forklift Certification Class. It’s official; I can now operate a Sit-down Forklift without running over anyone. Well, at least without squishing any small orange cones. Whether or not I can avoid mashing someone with a 7500-pound machine, accidentally or willfully, remains to be seen. God willing, self-control will always win the day!
In the interest of moving to Texas before Christmas, I’ve decided to pursue a Forklift Operator Position. Going back to my time spent in the U.S. Military, I have plenty of hands-on experience with various equipment and vehicles. In fact, I’m already studying for my CDL Permit. There’s never been a better time to jump into such a line of work.
All of this aside, I will still become a published novelist shortly. It’s possible all writers feel this way, but I couldn’t be happier with my creation. At some point, I’ll finish the editing process and send my book out into the world. I will never rest until I finish what I started. I love writing sooooooo much! My wife will have to share me with her.
Once more, I’ll put this out there for anyone who will listen. Nothing can stop the power of a clean and sober mind. When the toxins and distractions are removed from our path, we are capable of remarkable achievement. We can climb any mountain. We can reach any destination. And most of all, we can finally heal from the bitter hardships of our past.
I’ve lived in Denver since I was 19 years old. In many ways, I was still a child when I came to this city from a small town in northwestern Montana. As you can imagine, the transition from Native American Indian Reservation to the big city was a culture shock. After more than 30 years of living here, I now see Denver as a small town.
It’s finally happening; I will be moving to Texas in December. For those familiar with my story, it’s been my goal for the past year. I will now join my wife and kids. All things are possible. There is always a miracle happening somewhere.
