A few years ago, a friend told me she was afraid of the dark. I asked her, “what’s in the dark that’s not in the light?” Crickets . . . . . . .
More often than naught, the night is harmless, and we’re creating our anxiety within our minds as we peer into the darkness. How many of us can validate a Boogeyman sighting? How often have you heard someone label an incident as demonic or alien without a trace of investigation, no attempt at debunking? I consider such behavior to be reckless.
Push aside the thin veil of what’s possible, and there’s more to the story. In fact, the supernatural is real. Sometimes but not always, the light may illuminate what hides in the shadow. At other times, only the darkness can reveal what waits within the blinding light of the Sun. Hmmmmmmm . . . now what could be hiding in plain sight with help from our Sun?

the dark is scary, for me, in unknown spaces– but that’s more because i’m afraid of falling down stairs, walking off a cliff, or running into furniture. the boogeyman’s got nothing on mother nature and an odd placed armoire.

It sounds like your fears are based on facts and reality. š
