This morning at the Houston Catholic Co-Cathedral of The Sacred Heart, the Houston Fire Department Honor Guard, together with mourners, gathered to remember the fallen Fire Fighters from the past year. Sixty-four names were called this morning. That’s 64 men and women who died in the line of duty fighting fires in the city of Houston, Texas.
It wasn’t long ago the nation’s streets were overflowing with fools calling for the defunding of our First Responders. I guarantee when something (anything) goes wrong, and help is needed, those same people will be the first to dial 911.

Yes, I had no idea that Houston lost so many. Sometimes I forget how large the city is. 😞
