I was working a job alongside the Buckley Air Force Base when I snapped this picture. The base is located at 6th Avenue & Tower Road, not too far from Denver International Airport.
Never been to DIA…just looking at the photo made me think of eastern Colorado. My aunt and uncle lived in Monument for a while, and when we drove back from Colorado Springs in 2001, I was surprised at how flat it was. Most people think of Pike’s Peak and the Mile High City when they think of Colorado.
